Learning Styles

I was not surprised to find that I am a tactile learner. This means I learn by doing hands on activities and seeing what I am physically doing. This does not surprise me because of my athletic background over the years. I can learn new plays or strategies in football practice easier than I can learn from setting in class and hearing how to do it. As a teacher I will know how I learn the easiest, but also I will do my best to support all learning styles so every child has a chance to learn in the way that best suits them. Personally I know how frustrating it can be, to be given a set of instructions and not understand how to apply them. A lot of times I felt like if someone could just show me what they wanted me to do, I could achieved the desired results more easily.

  1. It is interesting that you have related your learning style to your love for sports and football. I also like that you plan on using varied learning styles when you teach to offer the best experience for your students.

  2. I feel like your learning style fits perfectly into what you want to teach! It should make your job a lot more fun, and should make you a better teacher as well.
